I was born and raised in the small town of North Texas, Bowie. After graduating Bowie High School, I moved to *lovely* Lubbock, Texas to attend Texas Tech University. Four years later, with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Science, I packed my bags and headed to Austin! (the best decision I ever made!)
Unsure of what I wanted to do next, I started nannying for a wonderful family and their 3 rambunctious boys. After a lot of thinking, I realized teaching was calling my name. I went back to school and, at the same time, began working here at Bridge Point. This is my fifth year teaching First grade and I can't tell you how much I love what I do! I look forward to learning more about your child and your family!
I love traveling ,listening to live music, yoga/pilates ,paddle boarding, and doing anything that involves water or the beach. I've got 2 Westie pups, Maudie and Waylon Jennings. Maudie is a certified Good Canine Citizen which allows her to come hang out in the classroom. My favorite places here in Austin are: Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, Taco Deli, Book People,Paper Source, Perla's, ACL festival, and hiking on the greenbelt.
